The Stripes Company

Maria, director of The Stripes Company got in touch as she was looking to create some photos for an upcoming email marketing campaign for a well-known interior design magazine. At the same time, we also discussed capturing some more photos for their website, as well as creating an introductory video for their website, as well as some social media productions.

Pre-production and Planning

Pre-production and planning was absolutely key for this project. We had a lot of photos to cover, and a lot of shots to capture for the website and social media videos. As the magazine email marketing campaign was the most pressing deadline, we worked on that first. We spoke to the website manager of The Stripes Company as there was a number of different aspect ratios we needed to take care of. This was key to making sure we could deliver the photos as quickly as possible! Using an app attaching a phone to one of our photo cameras made sure that we kept everything within the correct aspect ratios needed.

In terms of video production, we needed to understand the process behind the scenes at The Stripes Company, so we headed over to their headquarters in Waverton. We spent time taking a few test videos and photos and started on the planning process in terms of the shots we needed for both the website and social media content.

Capturing the Content

As discussed earlier, having the aspect rations needed for delivery hugely sped up the capturing process for the photo side of the project. It was a creative photoshoot as we needed to create images that would be scroll stopping and interesting enough for people to want to sign up to the email marketing compeititon. For the website photos, we tried to keep things as universal and uniform as possible in order to show the cushions in the best possible light.

For the video side of the project, we setup another shoot day in order to capture everything. Careful planning was key here, as we also didn't want to distract employees for too long outside of the working day, yet make sure we had all the shots we needed to put together the content.

Post Production and Editing

Post production was made quicker by utilising the aspect ratios for the photos. We turned all of the photos round before the deadline and made the editing process as uniform as possible. It was a similar process for the videos - we put together the social media content first and then contentrated on putting together a short introductory website video as well.

The Results

The photos resulted in a large signup for the email marketing campaign, higher than was expected which was great! The social media videos increaced engagement with The Stripes Company instagram page and converted into more organic social media purchases, too. Here's some kind words from Maria, director of The Stripes Company:
